Traqueostomía percutánea por dilatación: experiencia institucional

Resumen

En la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos de la Clínica San Pedro Claver se adoptó como técnica de elección, la traqueostomía percutánea por dilatación en los pacientes críticamente enfermos, sometidos a ventilación mecánica prolongada, debido a que ha demostrado seguridad, bajo costo y menor tasa de complicaciones. Se presenta la experiencia en el transcurso de dos años con su aplicación.
