Resumen

El neumotórax catamenial es aquel que aparece en las mujeres dentro de las 72 horas después del inicio del ciclo menstrual. Es una entidad muy poco frecuente, con escasas series de casos publicadas en la literatura científica latinoamericana y mundial. Se hace una revisión de la literatura científica mundial con énfasis en el proceso diagnóstico y el manejo multidisciplinario, y se reporta un caso.
